Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the SSCF a full-time program?
A: Yes. Applicants selected for SSCF will be enrolled in the program on a full-time basis for 10 months. Participants will be on a special assignment and will not continue in day-to-day activities associated with their normal positions. The Fellowship will take place at each site’s respective location with several events requiring travel.

Q: Will I go back to my original job after I’ve completed the SSCF program?
A: The intent of the program is to develop future defense acquisition leaders. The DACM has directed that all Army personnel attending DAU-SSCF should be assigned to broadening positions, ideally of greater responsibility, upon completion of the program.

Q: Will I have to PCS to a new assignment after the program?
A: No. The intent is to provide career opportunities in your local area, but you might want to consider other sites that have career opportunities.

How do I apply?
