DLA Logistics Information Services Applications

Overview ​DLA Logistics Information Services offers a range of supply chain management (SCM) related resources and tools to the defense acquisition workforce and the product support community (many of which are also individually listed in this Product Support Analytical Tools Database), including:

  • Federal and International Cataloging (Assign the NSN) provides access to applications that enable you to submit a National Stock Number (NSN) and Maintenance request or perform a status inquiry, search or collaborate National Item Identification Numbers (NIIN), and look up Demilitarization (DEMIL) Codes or submit a DEMIL Challenge Web Form. International customers can navigate to the International Cataloging site for cataloging services on all matters related to international codification and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Logistics Applications (Distribute the Data) enable you to display the cataloging and related data in various forms. You can search the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Map Catalog for maps and charts, the Hazardous Materials Information Resource System (HMIRS) for a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Military Engineering Data Asset Locator System (MEDALS) for engineering drawings, or Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS) for FLIS items of supply. You can navigate to any of these sites for registration and access instructions.
  • Customer Outreach (Share the Data) provides everything you need to know about working with the federal government. Want to submit a proposal for a contract or assign a National Stock Number (NSN) to your product? Navigate to this section to link to sites like the Defense Logistics Agency Customer Interaction Center (DLA CIC), the Interactive Government & Industry Data Edit & Review (iGIRDER), and the Quality Database (QDB).
  • Training and Reference (Understand the Data) provides access to our training pages, including web-based training that you can access on-the-spot. Reference materials such as the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) Technical Procedures and various forms and publications are also available. They fully support the products and services offered across their website.
