The Logistics Metrics Analysis Reporting System (LMARS) has capability to track material as it flows through the logistics pipeline and report the associated response times. The office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics & Materiel Readiness, has identified twelve segments for measuring the logistics pipeline. Logistics Metrics Analysis Reporting System (LMARS) provides the capability to maintain, track, and extract logistics data through its life cycle. LMARS tracks wholesale materiel requisitions as they move through Transaction Services and reports the associated response times. LMARS uses information from DLMS and EDI transactions, off-line data feeds from DSCP, and GTN transportation transactions to compute the logistic response time for wholesale-managed items. The measurement begins with the serial date of the requisition and ends with receipt by Transaction Services of the Materiel Receipt Acknowledgement (MRA) transaction. This computation includes both transaction counts and average pipeline processing times for the 12 segments in the life cycle of a logistics transaction. All reporting time frames are in terms of days. Detailed listing of the measures for each segment are available at http://www.dla.mil/HQ/InformationOperations/Transaction-Services/Offers/LMARS/.
