Overview
The former Streamlined Modular Acquisition Requirements Tailoring Tool (SMART-T) transitioned to an interim solution as a part of the overall effort to transition to Model Based Product Support (MBPS). The interim solution is a part of the Navy Data Acquisition Requirement Tool (NDART) overall effort to create a Statement of Work (SOW) and Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) for acquiring data for the MBPS environment. The interim solution focuses on the generating of a Technical Manual Contracts Requirements (TMCR) and corresponding CDRL. This interim solution is known as NDART-Lite or TMCR Generator and will be hosted in the NAVLOGTD environment.
The NDART-Lite will interview the requestor in a manner similar to the former SMART-T TMCR module. After an interview is completed, the TMCR Generator will produce a TMCR SOW and corresponding CDRL. Note, a Technical Manual SEATASK Requirements (TMSR) is used when asking another government facility to complete the task instead of a contract and contains the same requirements.
NDART-Lite is available now as a part of the Naval Logistics Technical Data (NAVLOGTD) Repository and access begins with requesting an account. Users can begin using NDART-Lite today. The contact information for requesting a NAVLOGTD account is below and they can provide further instructions.
This Navy Data Acquisition Requirement Tool Lite (NDART-Lite) interim solution replaced the Streamlined Modular Acquisition Requirements Tailoring Tool (SMART-T). The existing SMART-T module hosted by the Naval Systems Data Support Activity (NSDSA) was disestablished in early 2022. For questions about the NDART-Lite tool, please contact Randel Kirk ([email protected]) 301-227-1900. For questions or assistance with gaining access to NAVLOGTD, contact [email protected].
