OTS allows authorized personnel to research, locate, requisition, submit follow-ups, cancel, modify, audit, and track status of their requisitions, conduct backorder review, and track carcass turn-in history. Through OTS users have access to 30-plus DoD, Navy, and commercial data sources. The system's primary functions are technical screening, stock check, requisition input, requisition status, requisition audit, shipment status, file/text upload, batch and backorder queries, MLD and SNT.
