The Reusable Container Worldwide Warehouse (RECON) Tool is an Air Force packaging tool which augments the Air Force Reusable Container Program. RECON is designed to control packaging costs and promote efficiencies while maintaining high levels of asset protection during Packaging, Handling, Storage (PHS&T). Additionally, RECON promotes conservation, reuse, and reclamation of reusable containers in the Air Force domain vice disposal/waste stream. RECON bolsters packaging operations by cross-leveling excess reusable containers and/or packaging materials at base-level, and providing worldwide visibility for possible redistribution to units or other MAJCOM activities that need them.
