ACIM (Availability Centered Inventory Model) is a unique software tool that provides the capability to optimize a spare parts inventory. The objective of ACIM is to determine the spare parts inventory which will minimize equipment down time awaiting parts. The result is to maximize the operational availability of the equipment. In this capacity ACIM is able to solve the complex relationship between reliability, maintainability, and supportability characteristics of design stage equipment.
