The JTDI mission is to create an integrated technical data environment whereby digital technical data, training, and maintenance information is more readily available and accurate, as knowledge for weapon systems maintenance personnel by an intelligent, faster, and less expensive means. The JTDI objectives are to permit rapid and seamless access to information whenever needed, wherever needed and for whomever, across all Department of Defense services.

JTDI supports Navy and Marine Air Stations, carriers and L-Class ships creating an integrated and interoperable electronic technical, supply, and maintenance data environment with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology insertion. JTDI enables warfighters worldwide to access technical, supply, and maintenance data from authoritative sources in digital form, and support collaborative reach-back capabilities. JTDI is a web-enabled Delivery Management System with backup capability that automatically delivers updated technical, supply, and maintenance information to aviation organizations ashore and afloat.
