Product Data Acquisition (PDAQ) is an initiative championed by the Air Force Directorate of System Integration (A4I). PDAQ provides acquisition programs with tools, guidance, and training to comply with laws and policies in order to secure needed product and software data & data rights. The PDAQ team includes members from Acquisition, Logistics, Engineering, Software, Legal and Contracting. PDAQ  includes four important tools:

  • Product and Software Data DID Selector - Determining what data you need is a difficult task. This easy-to-use tool will help you narrow down a list based on your program's specific needs.
  • Data Rights Decision Tree  - A simple process for understanding what data rights you should pursue to satisfy your program needs is described in this decision tree diagram.
  • RFP Considerations  - How do you properly request data and data rights? This section provides important language, including clauses, Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and Contract Data requirements Lists (CDRLs) that should be incorporated into a Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Product Data Training  - Need to refresh your knowledge or understand specific product data acquisition concepts? The training page provides e-learning modules developed by the PDAQ team and links to other training resources.

PDAQ provides acquisition programs with tools, guidance, and training to secure needed product and software data & data rights in order to reduce life cycle costs, improve warfighter support, and comply with public law & DoD policy.

The Air Force PDAQ website also contains extensive information related to technical data and data rights.
