According to the Department of the Navy, the Real Time Outfitting Management Information System (ROMIS) Material Management System (MMS) is a automated tool for managing outfitting material and fitting out functions. At scheduled load-out of material to ship, the shipbuilder uses reports and automated issue processes to track and transfer material from staging locations within the warehouse to the defined locations aboard ship. CAC access is required.
