The WARP database and website were developed by the Reliability Information Analysis Center (RIAC) under a project sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center Information Analysis Center Program Office (DTIC-I)

The objective of the WARP database and website is to collect, analyze and verify the existence and characteristics of physics-of-failure (PoF) models for electronic, electromechanical and mechanical components to provide a centralized web-based repository within RIAC that is accessible to researchers and engineers for their understanding of:

(1)   what specific PoF Failure Mechanism Models should be used to assess the reliability of specific component types (representing both internal device and packaging-related failure mechanisms)

(2)   what specific PoF Failure Mechanism Models currently exist in the WARP repository to accomplish the goal in bullet 1

(3)   what specific PoF Failure Mechanism Models need to be developed (gap analysis) or added to the WARP repository to accomplish the goal in bullet 1

(4)   what specific physical Data/Information is needed to exercise each identified PoF Failure Mechanism Model in the WARP repository based on bullet 2

The WARP website encourages users to register as Members (ability to participate in the WARP Forum) or Contributors (ability to submit models or model validation data for consideration).
