December 2021 Defense Acquisition Credentials Update

Welcome to this, the latest of our ongoing series of regular monthly updates on the status of life cycle logistics defense acquisition credential development. The intent is to keep members of the life cycle logistics workforce apprised of the status of these powerful new learning assets designed to facilitate your life-long learning. Bottom line up front: As of December 17 2021, we now have seven fielded life cycle logistics credentials available for student registration! The list now includes:

• CLCL 004 Maintenance Planning & Management Credential

Additionally, nine additional integrated product support (IPS) element-based life cycle logistics credentials are in various stages of development, and include:

A quick synopsis of the latest credential information:

• DAU has deployed 23 credentials to-date; seven in life cycle logistics functional area
• Eight additional integrated product support element-based, competency aligned life cycle logistics credentials currently in development, for a total of 15.
• Deployment schedule remains fluid for variety of reasons; target is to have all fifteen life cycle logistics credentials deployed before the end of FY22
• Target Audience: while developed to support DoD life cycle logisticians and product support managers, personnel from all defense acquisition workforce functional areas are highly encouraged to consider taking these new credentials.
• In addition to defense acquisition workforce members within and outside of the life cycle logistics functional area, the Intent is for our logistics credentials to be available to non-acquisition maintenance, supply, transportation workforce members as well
